In the war of words, the republicans are winning.

They lie until people believe it. We need to correct them every time they lie, and back it up with facts.

This is the thorn in my side- (as posted on DU)

From Harding In 1921 to Bush in 2003:

* Democrats held White House for 40 years and Republicans for 42.5 years.

* Democrats created 75,820,000 net new jobs -- Republicans 36,440,000.

* Per Year Average—Democrats 1,825,200---Republicans 856,400.

* Republicans had 9 presidents during the period and 6 had depression or recession.

* DOW—grew by 52% more under Democrats.

* GDP—grew by 43% more under Democrats.


Comparing Democrat’s hero-CLINTON—versus Republican’s hero--REAGAN

* JOBS—grew by 43% more under Clinton.

* GDP---grew by 57% more under Clinton.

* DOW—grew by 700% more under Clinton..

* NASDAQ-grew by 18 times as much under Clinton.

* SPENDING--grew by 28% under Clinton---80% under Reagan.

* DEBT—grew by 43% under Clinton—187% under Reagan.

* DEFICITS—Clinton got a large surplus--grew by 112% under Reagan.

* NATIONAL INCOME—grew by100% more under Clinton.

* PERSONAL INCOME—Grew by 110% more under Clinton.

Yet "they" believe repubs are the best for the economy.

Now, we have a job to do. This is only one of many beliefs out there that are incorrect. We need to work all the time, win or lose in Nov, to correct all of them, or at least give people a chance to stop and think about them.

We ALL need to work on this every day, in all areas, (not just economy) but what do we need to help us? A forum here with info & links? A web sight? What would help us? We all need to take action, and get rid of some of the political myths out there- you guys are good on flyer's, and e-mail campaigns, but we need to also get our elected 'guys' talking. Lets gather up the myths, the truth and work on changing things.
