If you could pick the President? |
|
Who would you pick? As an 18 year-old first time voter, Wes Clark really excited me...not the typical Washington politician. But just anyone at all, Senator, Congressman, Governor, former politician, whatever. Who would you put in the WH, if it was up to you?

I was a Clark supporter from long before he entered the race. I atteneded a Clark speech in Sept of 2003 and it was incredible. I think Clark is a HUGE asset to our party and our country.

I was first a Wes Clark supporter. See the avatar!
I would still prefer him over Kerry and Clark is my first choice still, but would it not be interesting to have President Sharpton!?!

54. Hey, some people wanted Kerry/McCain |
|
first off, there are more than two ideologies out there. And two, it is very possible to support a Green and a Libertarian. Both of those guys have plans to help everyone get access to healthcare. Bush and Kerry don't.
And I care a lot more about the content of someone's character than their rhetoric. I worry about Kerry's character and I think Bush is straight up evil.

21. John Kerry for three reasons |
|
The work he did to bring the Vietnam war to an end. BCCI Iran/Contra
These three things shows his character. Strength and aversion to dishonesty.
I fully expect him to open investigations up the wazoo when he gets in office and to appoint an attorney general who will competently prosecute.

After hearing Barak Obama's speech at the Dem Convention, I could easily see him in the WHite House.

He has the background, the intelligence, the wits, and the stones to do the job. There aren't many in this country who can match his credentials.
My heartfelt choice, after seeing him on Crossfire the other day, would be Jon Stewart. If Kerry gets in, name Stewart Chairman of the FCC.

38. I worked hard for Dean, but I think I might pick Kerry, now |
|
the President isn't a king and a lot of people with great ideals and excellent motives wouldn't be able to get the job done given the current political climate.
I've been really impressed with Kerry since he won the nomination. I think that he'll be a very good president and may be able to work the system to make some real progress.

...Myself, I would actually pick John Kerry. I supported Dean in the primaries, but after I got off my dead ass and read Kerry's biography and found out the things he's done in his life, I have to say that I feel for him the way my mother felt about that other JFK - pride, admiration, and maybe even a bit of a crush. So, I must say, of all politicians on the scene today, Kerry would make the best president, IMHO. He has the potential for immortality and greatness.
