I'd Get Behind A Rep That Broke Up Monopolies |
|
I'd also get behind replacing the Republican party with a party that represented the people, and not international corporations.

A few like Kucinich would probably break up oligopolies (a market place with only a few competitors) as well as monopolies, but he and others would have to have support in Congress to invoke something like the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.
Let's face it. Many Democrats and Republicans are getting their funding for their campaigns from the same interests they are supposed to watch over. Mussolini didn't call it corporatism for nothing.

3. Firstly, you must silence their illegal franchise to oppose |
|
And that would be a constitutional amendment:
"No corporation shall have the rights of a human person."
This one amendment would end the lobbies, the revolving door protections, the media abuse and the campaign finance abuse.
Otherwise, you'll just go down as the matador that challenged 10,000 bulls in the same ring.

4. Oh, you ARE a sweetheart! |

The fundies showed us how rassroots oranization over a couple of decades could result in sweeping changes. Unfortunately, it was change for the worse.
We must do the same. The Democratic party is worthless unless it is the party for progress of the people, not of the corporate power structure.
An amendment like you described should be primary on the list of things to do of good libs and progressives everywhere. It must happen.
