George Bush got his flu shot in early October, in between the first and second debate. This is why he canceled his presidential check up until after the election as the administration had ample forewarning to the shortage.

Washington Nurse, RN Dystrom,(Wilhelmina) admitted to administering the inoculation to the president at the white house, Oct 4, 2004 as the president was preparing to return to the campaign trail after a brief home stretch timeout, and re-preparing from a dismal showing in the first debate.
