Kerry's playing way too cleanly...
He needs to crush the fundie turn-out by running an ad discussing Lynne Cheney's Sisters.

1. We're the good guys
So we play by the rules.

I think it's right that we take the high road.

Someone's got to!

3. I agree
He is who he is and we are who we are.

Dirty tricks by the Democrats would only serve to push more of their own voters away, including me.

2. I'm not sure how well that would work.
But I think something that would work is spreading around pictures of Mary Cheney and her girlfriend among christian conservatives, especially in the south. Mary Cheney also organized gay parties for Coors beer, and there are pics of that too - that could really do damage to Bush if those pics got out.

4. I agree...
Send a message to the gay community that the Democrats are there for them, while using the same ad to (indirectly) tell fundies that the GOP is just using them.

5.  Dear god people! Its a LiveJournal
I have a link to Dick Cheney's LiveJournal!

If we want to rip into the second lady go looking for that paper she co-authored about anti-Americanism that was published in early '02.(I wish I remembered more details...) But better yet, lets have Kerry talk about policy! and issues! that really matter, not mudslinging.

6. I think he can win staying on the "high road"
I know a lot of us are screaming for one of our candidates to draw some serious blood, but they're doing OK at the moment w/their "just the facts maam" routine.

I'm a career prosecutor; and it's been interesting to see how Kerry's approached this case. I know from personal experience that acting too aggressively when you're making a case can backfire badly.

7. We want this stupid distraction from real issues to go away...
Are you being serious? Why would you want Kerry to do such a stupid thing?

The rightwingnuts would love that. They can dream, I guess.
