Jon Stewart Hands Vote To Kerry

(CBS MarketWatch) Saying "it looks like Kerry," Comedy Central host Jon Stewart said he expects to vote for Sen. John Kerry for president.

"I'd be stunned if something happened to change my mind," said the host of the popular TV show.

Stewart spoke with New Yorker media critic Ken Auletta at a breakfast sponsored by the magazine and by the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.<snip>

5. Do any of you younger people (18-35) who watch Jon Stewart

know if young Republicans watch the show in great numbers? I don't really know any younger people who are repukes. All my kids' friends are Democrats.

If young repukes are watching, do you think any of them will be influenced to vote for Kerry? Has anyone said anything to you?

I know of one gun toting 43 year old republican who has been influenced by Jon Stewart (he refers to him as Jon Daily, though).

He no longer believes Bush is in charge.

7. My husband has two close friends who are repukes...

...needless to say, I have but a superficial relationship with them.

Was I ever surprised one night when I found out that their FAVORITE show is the Daily Show! They think it's funny.
I haven't seen them since the campaigns have really heated up, so I don't know if they still feel the same way.

P.S. These two are not stupid, they're just rich...
