The role of the mainstream media in the last and the current elections
has helped hasten their demise to irrelevancy whatever may be the result on November 2.Their relentless pursuit of mediocrity and trivia
has made them a laughing stock of everyone with a brain left. The rise of blogs like DU where we see open and honest questions raised about all topics has made the NYT,WaPo,CBS etc. look insipid by comparison. One is unable to find any real questions asked or discussed among the overpaid journalists of these media.People have tired of their portrayal of the rulers as courageous and honest people with proverbial hearts of gold; they want to see real men portrayed truthfully, warts and all. They can only find such opinions on the blogs.

If and when the demise of these mainstream media comes, count me as a cheerleader.
