They come up on goggle news headline if this is where you got it because of sending money to goggle. Very, Very, right wing organization, lies and no foundations in their stuff. Notice who gets to place their news on the headlines, it neither fair or balanced.

that was written after the Civil War to prevent CSA soliders from being in the US govt, but the logic from this guy (saying Kerry started a rebellion) is frigtening.

I'm sure you can find plenty of people on DU who believe that Bush should have resigned a long time ago.

He is streching the wording of the consitution waaaaay far to make his point. by his interpritation, Bush should be thrown out for not showing up for a phisical in the Air Force. NO ONE is gonna tell me that a man who took led for all of us in a fraud war is not fit to be Pres. And that is THE BOTTOM FUCKING LINE!!!!

"Welcome to ChronWatch! ChronWatch.com is a media watchdog and conservative news site, with a focus on the San Francisco Chronicle."
Of course I'm sure you didn't know that.
Under this article, Bush should resign immediately for his "Bring it On" comment. We understand that he was just being a cheerleader, and his cheerleading experience goes way back, but in this case he was waving his pom-pons for the wrong team, namely the terrorists/insurgents/whatever. This would definitely qualify as giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
I'm sure you will soon be organizing your minions to demand his resignation.

Kerry played a role in ending that war. That war probably would have gone on forever had it not been for the guys like Kerry, and how many more people would be dead as a result?

I'd hardly describe Kerry's actions as such:
"shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
They're so twisted that it's not surprising that this is how they see it. This is an interpretation of Kerry's actions that would be quite difficult to prove but...
Unfortunately I don't put it past these Repugnant people trying this if for some reason they can't steal the election again.
And with the media whores and Republican control of all branches of government, who knows how it could turn out. I'll have to trust that moderate Republicans are fed up and have had enough of this crap. Somehow I can't see Chafee, Snowe, et al going for it.
Otherwise, hello Canada.

If you believe that being an anti-war protester while a soldier is rebelling against the United States, or having given aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States.
Then, and only then, and I'm sure most reasonable people understand that even soldiers have a right to become protesters against the government that sent them off to fight and die in some hellhole.

Some whiny conservative who thinks the 14th amendment thing about rebellions and insurrections means VVAW. Riiiight.
I have a different view of the 14th. The 14th was passed right after the Civil War and the wording was intended specifically to prevent those who threw their lot in with the Confederacy, who rebelled against the U.S., from holding public office.
Hmm...neo-Confederates? Rebelling against the U.S.? Sounds familiar...
Bush is the one who should be removed from office based on his participation in the right-wing insurrection against our liberal democratic form of government. The national consensus of the U.S. is liberalism. Always has been. The right wing are traitors.
