1. Subaru was the TX Republican foreign car of choice in the 70's...
No one knew much about Subaru or where it actually cam from. It was really the first non-European acceptable foreign car (economy) for Republican movers & shakers in Texas during the Poppy Bush Power years.

2. Well that's depressing to know
I like the all wheel drive aspect, but now want to dump this thing. I'd like to purchase such a high ticket item from a compnay NOT related to or endorsed by conservatives, republicans, fundies; I'm sick of my hard earned money going to prop up ideals that I do not share. Are there any auto manufacturers out there that aren't in the RW pocket in some way?
