Its on HBO and its a WONDERFUL movie about the womans movement and the women who fought for all of our rights!!! I mean VERY moving... how they had to fight at EVERY turn to be heard and how bravely they stood up to EVERYONE to do it... and how they stood up to a "war time president" and even though they were scared they stood up for what they thought was right :) i am very proud to be a women and watching this

They were very brave. Unbelievable that women were treated as secondary or non citizens.

the movie, while totally wonderful, really only portrays a small slice of the fight. It took 72 YEARS for women to get the vote once the issue of women's suffrage was raised by Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton in 1848.

I saw it on the way to the rally in Washington DC for reproductive choice this last spring. Loved it. Just last week I was touting it to a co-worker with a 13 year old daughter. Told her that she should show it to her daughter and some of her daughter's friends to give them a look at what it took to get them their right to vote.

3. We showed it at school |

We had a movie night at our high school and showed it in the auditorium.
There is supposedly a version you can order from scholastic that has the bathtub scene (no nudity, just suggestive) and the buttshot in the prison cut. We didn't know til it was too late that the cut one was available, but we had permission from the school to show it as is.

and I really enjoyed that movie.
It's always great when you can expand civil liberties and civil rights as opposed to shrinking them like Chimp has done.
