New Repug attack: "They will say ANYTHING to get elected!! snifsnif.."
I've seen it a couple of times..and today confirmed it.

I just watched the RNC/DNC chairmans on Wolf Blitzer, and the RNC guy (no chin) was whining that democrats will say anything.

The examples he rattled off:

- Mary Cheney
- Democrats are promising people will get out of wheelchairs and walk.

Oh yes...democrats are the dirty ones. They'll say ANYTHING to get elected....unlike the repugs who are oh so honest and straight with us.

:puke::wow:

It's obvious now that we will hear a LOT more about Mary Cheney from republicans. They are tossing it out there in unrelated conversations to bolster this new message.
Call me crazy, but part of me thinks that's a good thing. The reason the Gallup poll thinks it was inappropriate for Kerry to bring it up is because republicans TOLD them it was...and have been telling them ever since.
It's a coordinated attack. Look for them staying "on message".

Democrats are evil and will say "anything". They're promising an end to wheelchairs in four years and they're invading peoples privacy.
:puke:

I have a strong feeling the worm will turn on this one. We just need someone to stand up and be brutally honest here...go out on a limb.
Tell America the truth TV heads, you're hurting America!!!

1. Also, even tho people may agree it was inappropriate to bring it up...
doesn't mean they are "outraged". It is, after all, TRUE. And she was
out.

The outrage schtick is their spin.

3. Yes. The media is being played like a skin flute by repugs...
the worm will turn. There's a thirst for honesty in America.

Feigned JerrySpringerish outrage by the Cheneys should NOT determine an election issue. The media is doing America a huge disservice over this and I suspect someone will soon stand up and point out there's no clothes on the Emperor.

2. I noticed the same thing. The repukes have their "new" talking points.
And they will repeat them over and over, so stupid people believe it.

Notice how the repukes didn't say a damn thing when Alan Keyes called Mary Cheney "hedonistic, etc." Gee, this is a person from THEIR party ragging on MC and nothing is said.

These thugs are so transparent that I can almost guess what they will jump on next. Seriously. They are so desperate! :eyes:

Kerry in a landslide!

4. Why are repugs so ashamed of their gay and lesbian children?
Frankly, their preoccupation with Mary Cheney only points out their prejudice against their own family, friends or relatives. Democrats seem to be able to respect their children more.

6. That's psychobabble....the preoccupation with M.C. is a calculated
political move.

And gone unchallanged....in fact SUPPORTED by the media...it has formed the cornerstone of the new "They'll say anything" election message.

5. Gay marriage as a wedge issue fell flat on it's face,
so they're trying a new tact. *"Sources say this was all Mary Cheney's idea because she was worried Dems would use her sexuality as an issue."

I can only take this one way. She doesn't want her sexual orientation seen in a positive light because that's bad for the Republicans; she's giving the green light on using her lesbianism to drive get the wedge issue back on track.

7. I love the smell of desparation in the air.
Smells like victory.

Considering that Republicans will DO anything to get elected...

8. Projection. Accuse the other of what you're doing & make it a theme.
This is the Mighty Wurlitzer. They take any immoral or criminal behavior that they're engaging in and preemptively accuse the Democrats of such behavior. It's an effective tactic because it puts the slow-witted Democrats in the position of sounding like "you did it first!"

The Fascists have made this into an art-form. Flip-flopping. Weak leadership. No plan. Big spenders. Etc. They're like Ted Bundy accusing others of assault and battery.

It creates the false impression that they don't live in that brand of glass house -- and nothing could be further from the truth.

10. Take the phrase away from them
and use it on them. That's the best way to shut 'em up. The first thing out of a Democrat's mouth should be that phrase. They won't know what to do with themselves. "They will say anything to win."

"Iraq has WMD."

"Things are just swell in Iraq."

"The world is safer with Saddam in jail."

"The Iraqis love us."

Our health care system is just fine and dandy."

We aren't going to have a draft."

"The tax cut was a good thing."

"Trial Lawyers are bad."

"Halliburton is good."

"The soldiers are happy to be in Iraq."
