Fear and loathing, and major solidarity, at Wal-mart Honolulu competitor |
|
The good: Foodland a couple blocks away from the worlds biggest native grave desecration had a good crowd of customers today, no more or less than any other day. One small difference was that there sure were a lot more Hawaiians there today than usual. May just be an anomaly but when I was there almost everybody was Hawaiian save two or three. (I am not. )
There was a wonderful kindness going around. People smiled at each other in the aisles. It was a real feeling of solidarity. I love Hawaii people.
Oh ya, the bad: My car has a Kerry/Edwards sticker, a peace flag, and an Obama sticker. The Barbie woman who had parked her red mini next to me took a long obvious look in my car, both front and back, and I had personal information there- kids names, my name, school info, legible. Kind of disturbing, I just unlocked and rolled the wondows down while I returned the cart. She of course just pushed hers off into the bushes. I watched her do this as I was walking back and chose not to address her as I am recuperating from a pretty significant illness and am just not up to a squawk right now.
Oh well. love conquers fear. Anyway thought you might like to know. Aloha.

1. That lady was very lazy ... I see people do that all time where I am ... |
|
Sometimes they leave the carts right in the middle of the parking lot where they could be pushed by wind , pushed in front of another car which could cause an accident . Ironic how these are the same people who would want to sue the owner of the parking lot for a loose cart when they are too lazy to put the cart back in the area where they belong .
Hope you get well soon from your illness :) :hi:
