My photo essay, "EVIL, LIBERAL MASSACHUSETTS!"
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 09:31 PM by plastic_turkeys
Well, the frost is on the pumpkin. Everywhere in Massachusetts, us vile morally lacking liberals are preparing for the winter.

Mark McKinnon, a longtime senior media adviser to Bush, was talking about us up here when he told Ron Suskind: "....up and down the West Coast, the East Coast, a few blocks in southern Manhattan called Wall Street. Let me clue you in. We don't care. You see, you're outnumbered 2 to 1 by folks in the big, wide middle of America, busy working people who don't read The New York Times or Washington Post or The L.A. Times. And you know what they like? They like the way (Bush) walks and the way he points, the way he exudes confidence. They have faith in him. And when you attack him for his malaprops, his jumbled syntax, it's good for us. Because you know what those folks don't like? They don't like you!''

And who can blame him. Everyone here is on welfare, being liberals, you know, and it is a festering cauldron of sin since that gay marriage ruling came down. Sex on every corner. Disgusting.

Us evil liberals are fixated on taking the family values away from "heartland America". We are not heartland, we're just far out drug-addled folk, ya know. And we want to change the rest of America with our liberal politicians, too.

Our President says Massachusetts is "out of touch" with real America.

It's hard, we wish we could be normal like the "mainstream" but we're so...so different! No values. No ethics. It's not easy being us.

Anyhow, come up sometime...IF YOU DARE. We're sure to corrupt ya. It's hell on earth here, the Republicans tell you that every day!

Absolutely beautiful. You even have seasons. *sigh*

9. Dude, why did you Photoshop all the devil worshippers out?

Seriously, your post brings in to sharp focus the divisions the neocons have brought to this country. We are all pretty much the same and want the same things, and they have convinced people we are fundamentally different.

Our differences are our strength!

13. I was in Evil MA last weekend
Was sooo horrible. It was in one of the most evil parts - the Berkshires - colleges, music, art. Almost as bad as Boston. So decadent that there's almost nothing open after midnight. They get all their devil worshipping done during the day!

Was with a bunch of old hippies, too. From all over the country. Indiana, Texas and places like that. I hope they don't get reported to the home office or anything.

21. If you are really looking for evil,
you need to come back in two weeks, but to the other side of the state. Living next to "The Witch City" I can tell you that, as wicked as was May 17, it can still run only a close second to the evil that is Halloween in Salem.

14. thanks...
moved to MA 22 years ago. c'mon in, folks, the water's fine.

remember, MA was the only state that went for McGovern, and that Ed Meese was once asked if he'd ever been to a communist country- and his answer was yeah, been to Cambridge, Massachusetts.

ahh... the good old days.

23. AH, WICKED TAXACHUSETTS!
You should see the horrors that take place here in San Francisco!

Approximately 15% of the population is apparently GAY!!!!! And another 5% or so look "hippie-ish". And worst of all, even the majority of us who are straight and dress "square" - we get along with and like them just fine. In fact, we're often just as liberal as they are!

There are demonic "peace sign" stickers on some cars, why. men even feel free to walk HAND-IN-HAND in the Castro!!!!

Honestly, if I could, I'd pack up and move to a civilized bastion like Dallas, TX or Salt Lak City, but it's hard to go, what with the affordable housing and wonderfully reasonable cost of living here in the Bay Area. ;)

27. Did you live in Pacifica?
It's not quite as chilly here in the Richmond, but my sweatshirts really earn their pay. Pacifica is a cute town, and really underrated.

I haven't been to Santa Cruz yet, but I'd like to sometime. My knowledge of it is basically the movie "The Lost Boys" and the damage to the downtown from the Loma Prieta quake on TV. I understand it's a pretty quirky place.

29. Sweatshirts
I'd say they are the most useful garment up and down the northern/central coast of California.

Udo, I live, actually, in Corralitos, near Watsonville, which is south of Santa Cruz and not very quirky. If you think Pacifica is cute, you'd love the little hamlet of Corralitos.

My impression of Pacifica is---too overcast, brrr.

But we all share one thing---I'm sure we are all on Bush's shit list.

25. I really like Massachusetts
And if I wasn't allergic to cold winters, I might move there. I like the culture, people---what I know of it. My sister lives in New Hampshire and I visit Mass. everytime I visit her and her family.

I think its absolutely disgusting the devisive remarks Bush makes. Imagine if Kerry started talking about NeoCon Texans. "Blah, blah, blah, ...the NeoCon Texan George W. Bush." Of course, he never will, because he believes in Uniting the Country, not Dividing it, unlike George fucking "W" Bush.

:grr:

31. Wish Kerry would say: "Dont Mess with Massachusetts"
Just once! Such a beautiful state with such a rich history.

"Massachusetts" has become bush's code word for "that place they let gays marry" to his right wing nut jobs. I wonder if bush ever considers the sons and daughters of Massachusetts that are fighting in Iraq, in his war. Wish someone would remind him.
