Talk some sense into me
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 10:54 PM by Sannum
I am getting so nervous about the election right now. It is the first time I have felt this way, but please, someone, talk some sense into me. It will be fine, right?

:scared:

BEWARE OF DARKNESS

Watch out now, take care
Beware of falling swingers
Dropping all around you
The pain that often mingles
In your fingertips
Beware of darkness

Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger
Winding up inside your head
The hopelessness around you
In the dead of night

Beware of sadness
It can hit you
It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for

Watch out now, take care
Beware of soft shoe shufflers
Dancing down the sidewalks
As each unconscious sufferer
Wanders aimlessly
Beware of maya

Watch out now, take care
Beware of greedy leaders
They take you where you should not go
While weeping atlas cedars
They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness (beware of darkness)

3. I can slap some sense into you?
But seriously,

Use your anxiety or lose it.

If you can't volunteer then I've found writing letters to the editor to be very effective in tempering my anxiety. But DO something.

Do NOT under any circumstances watch cable opinion (Fox, CNN, MSNBC etc...) or read any polling information.

Hope that helps.

4. NPR says Bush took the day to retool his campaign
I didn't hear it- just read a post about it but it makes sense to me- he hasn't overcome the debate debacle yet. Today's Gallop #'s will appeal to his competitiveness and his ego, making him feel less concern. He'll keep screwing up (no one can help him make adjustments because he doesn't accept criticism!), smart dems won't let Kerry screw up and the 10 pt lead in swing states is what we need anyway.

Hope this helps- I'd just put it together to calm my own nerves!:hi:
