always came here for news sources
their server has been too slow lately,
and are getting another one .
I use the same handle there also.
so I finally joined up here
so that's why so few post.

3. I started out there

with the same handle. Now I post under the name "Lorien" (but very infrequently). Yeah, the server is absurdly slow, and I don't like the strict policies about posting new threads; the threads are simply too long and difficult to wade through (given the server problem) and there's very little movement in the forum.

I like the articles on the homepage, though. I usually read them first thing in the morning.

I lurk here mostly but SC has always been my main place. Though it's so friggin' slow. They've been "rushing" to setup the new server for ages now.

6. The slow server has been an issue

since I joined there early in 2002. I think if they could deal with it, membership and donations would increase dramatically. It's sort of a circular problem.

I go there every day to read the articles they post, which are usually excellent. And the replies to the articles are very often insightful and thoughful Ñ which, sad to say, doesn't happen that often here.

I don't post on the boards though.
