There have been a number of people on DU who have had questions about the seemingly bizarre questions Zogby sometimes asks. I had a vague idea this was somehow related to his Tin Man vs. Scarecrow model, but not how.
Good to see this explained.

3. Funny. I didn't think Bush had a heart. |
|
Though, that is my opinion.

5. It's interesting that he references Jefferson at the end |
|
It's my opinion that Kerry has the same kind of intellectual "energy" that Jefferson had.
Please note this is a comparison only of the type of mind they share, not the intellectual capabilities of either in general.
Kerry's mind seems to work over-time (sometimes to his detriment it seems) Jefferson had that same insatiable desire to throw himself into things.

6. kerry /jefferson comparison by Zorby |
|
"In 1800, Thomas Jefferson emerged from a nasty presidential battle with incumbent John Adams by pushing through a comprehensive programme that crossed political lines.
Asked who he was rooting for, he said: 'Thomas Jefferson. The next president of the US has to bring this country back together.'"
He one of the better pollsters, but inacurate(follow predictions of Gore/bush 2000) and a "tool" for being "independent".

10. Since 1984, He's Been The MOST Accurate Pollster |
|
He also was the closest to the final values in 2000. What numbers were you looking at? Zogby's methodology is superior to everyone else's except maybe Pew. I've done peer review work for some of the social statistics information. The work is always impeccably scientific. The Professor

8. I answered "neither" on that question because |
|
although I knew where Zogby was going with the bizarre question, I refused to concede that Kerry is heartless or that the grinning, kill-happy fraud king has one.
Terrible, terrible analogy.

9. It was not an obvious question, seems to have confused both sides |
|
I think maybe Zogby has a lot more info than this to place his bet on.

a better metaphor for Blinky, don't you? No heart, no brain, lots of bluster, but runs and hides at the first sign of trouble. Only has the nerve to chase after the Totos in our midst. Aspires to be King o' de Forest. Etcetera.
