I live in right-wing country and last year when it seemed everyone was so pro-Bush it was so distressing. I found this forum and it is so refreshing. I am so glad people like you help make a difference by changing people's hearts. And what I thought might the impossible task of kicking Bush out of office is such a real possibility now.

I was in the same situation about a year ago. We moved since then, so thank goodness I'm no longer living in Republicanville, but when I was, I too, found DU and was so thankful to find that I wasn't alone. :)

I know exactly how you feel because I felt the same way. I found DU right after the idiot was selected by the SCOTUS and I thank G-d every day that I did. This place saved my sanity. I live in a freeper village too and it's so depressing to know I'm surrounded by so many ignorant people, but then I come here to DU and see the world really hasn't gone completely nuts.
