Time for a max-out tinfoil hat moment: suppose Kerry gets "Wellstoned?"

I have now heard this TWICE from different people out in the "real world" and it might ought to be considered.

Think about it for just one second: the election is two weeks away. Never would the Bushites figure it to be as close as the polls say. They "pet press" is showing some spine here and there. The votes are already being counted, and their Black Box Voting scam is looking deader all the time, and NOBODY buys the "Terra-rist are a' comin' to disrupt our election" bullshit anymore.

So what's left?

If they do the Supreme Court gig again, there'll be riots in the streets. They're being watched for voting irregularities, so that's kind of out, so what's left?

The Wellstone Alternative: Terra-rists knocked down Kerry's plane! We can't postpone the election! Why, that would be UNAMERICAN, or, POSTPONE THE ELECTION, George can handle things until we get ready for an election (this would likely be better for them: they could postpone ALL of the elections, and let the current congress continue to rubber stamp Bush's agenda).

I didn't think this up. Two completely different people suggested this scenario to me, almost verbatim, so I decided to share my indigestion with all of you.
