Conservative Florida paper refuses to endorse Bush |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 08:51 AM by sisenor
From CNN article:
The Tampa (Florida) Tribune, which has endorsed Republicans for president in every election but one in the past half-century, said it would issue no endorsement this year.
The newspaper said its "deeply conflicted" editorial board could not back Bush "because of his mishandling of the war in Iraq, his record deficit spending, his assault on open government and his failed promise to be a 'uniter not a divider' within the United States and the world."
OUCH!

1. How could anyone but the most hardcore RWer endorse that asshole? |

I would have liked to have been in on that meeting of the editorial board. It no doubt pained the hell out of them. But Shit-for-Brains is such a total blatant fuggup that they had no choice in making a decision like this that would be made known to the general public.

They had endorsed a Republican for President for the past 35 or 40 years. The fact that for the first time they didn't is an endorsement for Kerry. And if this isn't, then I don't know what is.
