CNN midmorning...Kagan and Sanchez....unwatchable.
Sanchez was forced off MSNBC because of so many gripes about his partisanship supposedly. He was a problem in South Florida. Darryn Kagan goes with Rush Limbaugh.

Is this news segment sort an in your face to Democrats? I simply can not watch Sanchez because of his blatant role in beating the war drums.

2. That is what has been discussed here via a WP gossip column.
No one has said anything to the contrary. I assume it is true.

20. Here is the original from the WP..Daryn and Rush...sitting in a tree.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58117-2004Sep3.html

"• Conservative radio kingpin Rush Limbaugh, 53, who announced his separation from his third wife, Marta, in early June, is dating CNN anchor Daryn Kagan, 41, a spokesman for Limbaugh has confirmed to us. The two were spotted at a party Limbaugh co-hosted at a New York restaurant, where guests included Vice President Cheney, New York Gov. George Pataki and Sen. Bill Frist. The coupling came as a surprise to some friends who consider the Atlanta-based Kagan part of the liberal media axis and a feminist -- but, then again, opposites attract. Kagan, who has been with CNN for 10 years, hosts "CNN Live Today," which airs from 10 a.m. to noon, ending just in time to catch her sweetie's three-hour radio show."

3. I remember him from MSNBC and he definitely tilted way to the right.
I find it impossible to watch Kagan anymore know she is Rush's girlfriend.

CNN has been absolutely horrible lately. I generally stick with MSNBC but I think Randy Meyers (usually on in the morning) also tilts to the right, not as bad as Sanchez but you get the jist.

I really know way to much about all the anchors on these shows but it is usually on in the background at home.

4. CNN any time...unwatchable
CNN has become a gallery of ghouls, from Kagan to Phillips to Zahn to Blitzer to Woodruff to Crowley to Bash to...well, you get the picture.

Unwatchable? Absolutely, all day, all night.

7. After being bounced from MSNBC...
...Rick Sanchez returned to South Florida and landed his own afternoon talk show on the local NBC affiliate. It flopped big time and Sanchez left Miami again to join CNN.

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/entertainment/columnists/glenn_garvin/5634726.htm

"The 44-year-old Sanchez became something of a legend in South Florida as the major presence on the raucous ''if it bleeds, it leads'' newscasts pioneered by WSVN-Fox 7 during the 1980s -- and the way his off-camera life regularly turned up on-camera.

When his Hialeah drinking buddy Alberto San Pedro was arrested in 1986 on charges of bribery, murder conspiracy and drug trafficking, Sanchez turned up frequently on police surveillance tapes introduced at the trial -- though he was never linked to any wrongdoing. Later, Sanchez pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol after he ran over and paralyzed a drunken pedestrian."

10. Sanchez pleaded guilty to paralyzing a pedestrian?
Let's see, who is the other one on CNN who had an under the influence problem....Jack Cafferty? Not sure of the last name, as I don't watch him anymore.

11. Jack "How's My Driving?" Cafferty
I don't think they've proved DUI, but he's being sued for $10M by the Hispanic bicyclist he ran down. He dragged the bike for a few blocks while people chased his car shouting at him to stop. He claims he didn't know he hit the guy.

12. Yep...Jack Cafferty.
CNN anchor who ran over cyclist dodges jail

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/106768p-96571c.html

<snip>

"Cranky CNN newsman Jack Cafferty copped a plea yesterday that will spare him any jail time for running over a bicyclist in midtown.

He will pay a $250 fine and perform 70 hours of community service after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, a traffic infraction."

Sanchez avoided jail time also:

http://www.miami.com/mld/streetmiami/6384677.htm

<snip>

"...Sanchez plowed his Volvo into Jeffrey Smuzinick outside Pro Player Stadium. Smuzinick was permanently paralyzed and died in a Pennsylvania nursing home in 1995, at the age of 36. Sanchez, whose blood-alcohol level at the time of the accident was .15, was far luckier: He pleaded no contest to a DUI charge and received probation."

I imagine noone at CNN wants to carpool with either one of these guys.

13. CNN must not care about values.
They just must not care about having anchors who have values. Talk about being two-faced!

16. Kagan and Limbaugh?
How did that get past me. :puke: She must have extremely low self-esteem. Anyhow, CNN is just pathetic! I used to consider it one of the best 10 years ago, but now it is a farse. Fox and CNN are two of the most unwatchable "news" programs around. Comedy Central does a better job for me.

More about Daryn Kagan
SNIP...."1) LIED that David letterman had faked the "yawning kid" at a bush speech

2) CALLED Max Cleland and Jim Rassman's visit to Crawford to plead with him to call off the Swift Boat Vets campaign "a publicity stunt."

3) SAID the issue in the "controversy" over Kerry in Vietnam was "not the medals he MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE WON in Vietnam."
