Bush gives Putin an excuse to take pre-emptive actions, demonize Muslims in Chechnya, kill tens of thousands of Chechans to "liberate them" (and take their oil and pipelines!).
Remember when Bush first met Putin in Slovenia, he peered into Putin's eyes, could see his soul, and felt he could trust him. :evilgrin:
