Why must we endure Howard Fineman on AA?

I have been one of the more vocal defenders of Air America on DU; I'm starting to wonder what the hell's going on.

Why is Al Franken fawning over Howard Fineman at this very moment? I'm sorry if this offends, but Fineman's latest adoring paeans to * are a great substitute for kitty litter at our house.

I'm sick of listening to the right wing on this channel. They sure as hell don't have us on their shows -- why should we cater to them?

1. Al calls Fineman on the worst of it. . .and personally I wouldn't

characterize Fineman as right wing, and generally have some interest in what he has to say, (though I hardly ever agree w it). But that's just me.

and completely unaware of the right wing bias of the profession he is supposed to watchdog.

I agree, having Fineman on is a waste. What about Bob Somerby?

It's too bad that Al didn't ask him about MWO's crowning Howard "Whore of the Year"...

4. That would have been awesome

I check every week to see if MWO is back. That was the greatest website . . . and needed now more than ever. Even "media matters" doesn't really satisfy, and call a spade a spade, the way MWO did.

I listen to AAR all day but have turned off Franken many times when he has on right wing shills. He is the only one who does this. If I wanted to listen to those idiots I'd turn on their stations.
