Except for cutting taxes has bush* kept a single promise made in 2000? |
|
Every politician makes promises before any election and Bush* is no different. In 2000 when running against Al gore Bush* made many such promises. Which ones has he kept and which ones has he broken. I know all the "News" shows are frantically trying to give us this information but they just can't seem to remember. Do we remember?

1. A republican friend just sent this to me ... |
|
"The next time you hear about Bush cutting taxes. Ask about the increase in discretionary spending that occured during the Bush administration. Logically, if the government get's less revenue from taxation and doesn't decrease spending accordingly they have to make up the loss revenue somewhere. The main thing they then do is to issue bonds which increases national debt (which taxpayers ultimately pay anyway).
The bottom line is that tax cuts without a concomitant decrease in govt. spending are just a sham. It is a way of paying lip service to the free market while actually denigrating it. At best, it defers the liability to another generation."
Now what about Bush's tax cuts?

3. Here's some of the broken promises, I'm having trouble thinking |
|
of kept ones. At least I don't remember him saying "We'll screw those dumb peons out of every penny and mortgage their childrens future too. Heh, heh, heh." But he may have promised KKKarl and Dick. http://www.democrats.org/specialreports/brokenpromises/
