Funny Answer to Question RE Bush on friend's blog
(This is not normally a political blog, so no link)

Her Question:

Ponderings
I don’t get it. I sincerely just do not get what some people see in President Bush. What is it about him that you see and like that I don’t? I can’t stand him. He makes me skin crawl and my teeth clench. I’m willing to admit that I have difficulty truly hearing what he has to say because my general disdain for the man prevents me from doing so. I think he’s arrogant, smug, cocky and disrespectful. He reminds me of the popular jock type in high school who would strut around campus joking with his buddies but tormenting the nerds, geeks and unpopular kids but he got away with it because he was just so charming and popular and made all the winning touchdowns for the football team.

I’m not a Democrat nor am I a Rupublican. I vote for the person, not the party. However, as my husband has pointed out to me numerous times, I am basing my opinion of Bush solely on the fact that I fucking can’t stand him and not on his actual words, policies and issues.

I think he’s a liar. I think that he purposely mislead us about Iraq. I think he is continuing to mislead us about Iraq. I think he cares more about corporate and rich America than he does about the average joe and common man. I think he’s impulsive, inconsiderate and narrow minded.

Then again, I go back to the fact that I simply do not like his personality so is that clouding everything else?

So I ask you- what do YOU see in him? If you are a Bush supporter, what is it about him that makes him your candidate? I would really like to know.

Then the freeper stranger's answer:

Elect Kerry if you think getting a blow job in the oval office is ok. Elect Kerry if you want every decsion made by popular vote. Elect Kerry if you don’t mind taxes going to an all time high. Elect Kerry if you don’t mind seeing terroist attacks in the United States. Elect Kerry if your from California and think the whole fucking world revolves around that sorry excuse for a state. Hide in your house and pretend that Islam is a religion of peace, continue thinking you can be nice to a terroist and they will not harm you. Most of these post serve no facts, just opnions based on what some spin doctor puts out. Dig a little deeper into the actual facts and learn something before you waste your vote. Find out who really caused the uprising of terroist in this country. On second thought, go ahead and elect Kerry, this country is going to hell anyway and he will speed it on its way. Kerry is just Jimmy Carter who happens to be taller.

I replied:

"Wow, James Old Guy, I really like that about Bush too! :)"

1. "Elect Kerry if you want every decsion made by popular vote."
Yeah, that would really suck, if the people could decide on things like GOING TO WAR.

7. Yeah right
This guy claims that he doesn't want everything to be a popular vote, but as soon as gay marriage or the Ten Commandments hits the radar, all we hear is: "But we're the majority! That's what we want! I demand a popular vote!"

What a douche.

Good point! What frigging hypocrites some people can be. They are only for or against a rule when it conveniently suits them.

Do I think getting a blowjob in the Oval office is OK? To quote Chris Rock, if I were President, it would be 'bitches on the north lawn, bitches on the south lawn; east wing, west wing'.

The real source of terror? Who the fuck is nice to terrorists? You mean like the AMERICAN anthrax guy? Or Tim McVeigh? Aaaaaahhhhh, he must be talking about the fuckers that bomb Planned Parenthood clinics and shoot OBGyns in the head? Warlike Islamics, or nutjob Christians responsible for these particular terrorist acts?

California? California RULES. I'd rather have gum surgery than live in Texas; flat, booring, and populated with heavily armed douchebags.

4. Well what I thought was really funny...
Was that the blogger was asking for WHAT PEOPLE LIKE about Bush. This guy didn't name a single thing that he liked (none of the other RW responses did either, BTW.)

6. Interesting that he's defining himself in terms of the 'other'...

or, what he hates that's not like what he knows. Classic xenophobia, the foundation of Nationalism. These guys couldn't sound more German if they had their knees removed.

with him rather than mocking him with sarcasm. That's why I'm not a fan of sarcasm at all. Many folks don't register sarcasm.

5. That's sad, but probably true.
My IQ is only slightly higher than Bartcop's 64, but I can comprehend such quips.

I was all proud of myself for my clever rejoinder!
