1. I've always been surprised this hasn't gotten more traction

Clinton retaliated after terrorists attacks, Bush didn't, until AFTER 9/11.

The other story that doesn't get traction is the fact that Bush could have taken out Zarkawi but didn't because it would have hurt the pre-Iraq political build up.

2. Well, duh. They needed their "New Pearl Harbor".

Since Clinton was in office when the Cole happened, it hardly helped them, now did it?

They needed 9/11. And they got it.
