Has Al Franken responded to Bill O'Reilly's fabled 'knock on the door" yet
I wonder what his take on it is, I'm at work during his AAR show, is he commenting on the suit at all?

1. I think he mentioned
that the lawyers told him to not comment.

2. I wonder why?
As long as he says "allegedly" he'll be safe.

But knowing Dildo Reilly, he'll sue Franken for breathing.

3. Can he just call his show The Falafel Factor?
Considering the O'Franken Factor didn't get the lawsuit Al hoped for, maybe this would work.

14. Al didn't get the law suit he was hoping for from the loser O'Lielly
I think he just felt the title was getting old, and didn't want to reference Falafel O'Lielly anymore. I thought it was really funny. And yes O'Lielly was laughed out of court, and yes O'Lielly is at least a three time loser filing frivolous lawsuits.

4. He made a point of saying that he won't be commenting at all...
since these are allegations only at this stage, and that it is a sad episode for someone no matter which way the case goes.

8. If the allegations are true...
then it's sad for O'Reilly's wife and for Mackris. If they are false then it's sad for O'Reilly.

5. IIRC, he only said it sounded like something O'Reilly would say

I don't think he's taking it too seriously, since O'Reilly is such a world class blowhard. Overall, Franken is keeping mum on the issue, "taking the high road", he says. I think he knows he doesn't need to say anything, since the story has its own momentum -- kinda like all the books and 9/11 Commission testimony that deflated Bush in the Spring.

Franken *did* indirectly comment on the O'Reilly lawsuit today, though I can't remember the exact joke. Oh, I think it was when he was singing the lead-in to the chat with Christy Harvey from the Center for American Progress... he commented that it could be considered phone sex and she could sue for harassment. And then Katherine stepped in, reminding him, "taking the high road, taaking the hiigh rooad."

7. I"m just curious about the "knock on the door" part.
It gave me chills, it really did, because O'Reilly obviously believed what he was saying.

Scary world.

9. Al was wondering if his singing so sexy
Could be considered phone sex. It cracked me up. Katherine set him straight and all three had a good laugh. I don't think Christy will go after him, she likes the song.
