8. Fired Sinclair reporter |
|
He was interviewed on CNN on Paula Zahn Now. (I just sent a complaint e-mail to CNN. Of course she had to preface it with John Kerry in his 1971 testimony "claimed U.S. Vietnam Veterans committed atrocities", more like the Swift Boat version, and then PLAYED A CLIP OF THE ANTI-KERRY movie!!!!) The guy was from the News Department and argued with Sinclair that it was not news, if they were going to run something like that it should be commentary, he felt his reputation was on the line. Also he thought it was not right so close to the election. So, he talked to a local newspaper where he was. Paula Baby just had to hammer home, before reading a statement from Sinclair about why he was fired, that he did what they said, violated their policies and made her point without saying it that he deserved to be fired. He was very good at making his point and was open about admitting he did violate their rules about going to newspapers and repeating what is said in their meetings. This was a mandatory meeting with a rabid anti-Kerry guy pushing the show. They tried to paint him as a disgruntled employee which he disproved. Paula Zahn Now repeats later at night on CNN where I am in California.
