get credit for keeping the country safe? They didn't heed any of the warnings, preferring instead to trash everything the previous administration had done. They ignored the voices that tried to warn them. The entire world is screwed up thanks to Bush policies and this crazy war on terrorism. Iraq is not safer and Afghanistan is not a democracy and we are not safer. We are just fortunate that whatever terrorists out there have not decided to hit us again within our borders. When they want to they will. All you have to do is drive along any major highway in the US to know that we are not (and cannot be) "secure" at home. It is the greatest hoax on society to lead people to believe that a war on terrorism can be fought and won. Sure, we can kill a lot of people and get a lot of our people killed but that is not "winning." Bush has made the entire world a powder keg just waiting to blow up anywhere at anytime.
