Apparently, there's this crazy old right wing douchebag who writes editorials for my school newspaper every year. It's freaking hilarious. It's been awhile since i've been called a commie.

1. I got called a 'commie pinko' by a Bushite!

Couple months ago Bush spoke at the Xcel Center in St. Paul. My wonderful spouse made me a sign that read "Bush lied; Thousands Died" on one side and "GOT WMDs?" on the other. It was a great sign though my sister, who came down to Xcel with me kind of hogged it all afternoon.
everything went fine until bush's appearance before one of those hand-picked crowds was over...then we found ourselves walking back to my car among hundreds of Bush fans. That's when a guy hollered "You're a commie pinko" at me. I thought I would get fun down.
that wasn't the weirdest thing, though. At one point two Hassidic Jews were walking front of me when one turned to me, very angry and said, "If you had your way, you'd be speaking German and I'd be dead!"

by the way, do any writers respond to the nutjob's piece you posted?

2. They should

tomorrow. I know some guy who got really pissed off and was determined to write a letter in response. A few weeks ago, this guy wrote about how Bush was so great and how we needed to spread freedom. I kid you not, this guy used Vietnam as an example of how great we are at spreading freedom.
