Good news from the Rochester, NY area.........

for the first time in recent history (at LEAST 25 yrs. or so) Democrats now outnumber Republicans in Monroe County (Rochester and surrounding area). This is HUGE people. The Slugs have had a lock on this area forever. According to the local news this is due to massive voter registrations by Dems.

The Slugs, in their usual denial of the truth mode, say that it's "really nothing all. People don't vote along Party lines anymore, they vote for the best candidate". Soooooooo, all of these people bothered to register as Democrats this year so they could vote for Georgie Boy?

I've always been peeved that this area had more Slugs than Dems. NY as a rule is a Democratic State due to NYCs influence, but it seems the rest of the State is starting to follow suit. This is GREAT news for Democrats in our area. :toast: :party: :toast:

We are getting more and more reports like this in--so many that I think it WILL have an effect on this election.

2. Why the change?

I know that part of NY has long, long been solidly Republican, at least in part because the rural areas are farming communities.

I grew up in the Utica area, and remember when Rockefeller was elected Governor.
