The greatest achievements of the Bush Presidency |
|
The greatest achievements of the Bush administration are:
(a) The invigoration of the American citizenship. Upset by this president's stewardship of the presidency (i.e., lack thereof), American's have awakened from their apathetic slumber and are actively engaging as concerned citizens again.
(b) The rebirth of the "christian liberal" movement. Related to (a) but specific to People of faith. In the 1960s, most churches were aligned with the progressive civil rights movements. Over the 1980s and 90s, the fundamentalists took over the religious-based political activism. Stunned by the "worship" of President Bush as G-d's chosen "son," as too many fundamentalist activists are implying, people of faith are waking up and fighting back: The GOP doesn't own Jesus.
(c) The breach of the Republican Party unity - especially the "conservative" branch. From the mid-1990s on, the Republican Party has been almost (?) blindly loyal to their chosen leader, and the chosen platform. Again, shocked by the extremism of the Bush administration, many Republicans are now having second thoughts. Even long-time prominent conservatives are taking issue with the Bush Administration's failure to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and with the Bush Administration's failed "war on terror." There no longer is "one voice" in the Republican Party.
As far as I can tell, these are the only three REAL "achievements" -- i.e. positive outcomes -- of the Bush Administration. Did I miss any?
(d) ... ?

5. That what I always say.... FAILING to VETO the Do-not-call bill |
|
was the only thing this moron has done right. However, I'm guessing he was probably on vacation or his fund raisers mistakenly failed to shake down the Tele-marketing industry so hence... no veto.
Otherwise. he'd be 100%.

None of these were the goals of this misAdministration but rather the reflexive actions of the living social organisms that are being poisoned by that misAdministration.

George Dumbya Bush has manged to do something that hasn't been done in almost 40 years: UNITE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!!!
1964 was pretty much the last time the Democrats were this united going into a fall campaign. Sure, the Pukes may trot out some inbred pig-fucker like Zell Miller or an egomaniacal has-been like Ed Koch, but the fact is that Kerry has united the Democratic base. Remember in the 80's when there were "Reagan Democrats"? I have yet to meet a "Bush Democrat".

11. That's my vote too -- |

I would have to say that the Internet is a very big part of a United Majority Democratic Party.
Also -- the attack by the right wing nuts and their treatment of Clinton was a major factor in the coming together of the Democratic party.
Add to this -- Moveon.org and AirAmericaRadio.com --
The gopNEOCONS were so nice to give us a target we can focus on as a rallying point. bush is so inept and "faith based" stupid -- that even the marginally democratic gladly claim the democratic party as theirs.
