Jon Leiberman appreciation thread

For having the courage and integrity to stand up to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group. It cost him his job but he did the right thing for his profession and for the American people. To Jon Leiberman! :toast:

he sacrificed his job for a principle and in doing so kept his own integrity intact. that's what we need more people to do if we're ever going to take our country back.

7. I emailed the Sinclair advertisers AGAIN to show them that

Sinclair was even firing it's own employees when they chose to express dissent. That furthers my resolve to boycott ANYONE who supports Sinclair!!!!

4. Good call. I didn't like CNN Paula Spawn diminishing/ignoring the

intergrity of his act. She kept harping, "well you were fired because you violated company policy blah blah." The spineless one failed to acknowedge anything him standing up for journalistic integrity. Leiberman was steady and well spoken.

8. He's ONE Leiberman I can get behind....

We need to keep this issue alive.

• Send this story to Sinclair advertisers...remind them that this is not the they type of business they should be supporting...,that it violates the public trust and is, quite possibly, illegal.

• Send this to media outlets...remind them they need to defend their own and that they need to look in the mirror and try to remember the real priorities of the media.

• And DC-Maryland DU'ers need to emal and call other stations and recommend they hire Mr. Lieberman because he is the type of professional that will only elevate the quality of their station. Plus, he probably has a great story to tell...and they would get the excusive...and YOU would start watching the station more.

The rest of the country might readily bash whistelblowers as self serving and with an axe to grind, but WE need to start reminding people that they have integrity and courage as well....and they need to listen to them.
