Where in the world is shrub getting his shirts?
Is he trying to start a bad fashion fad? I can't believe his appearance the last week or so. Most of the time he looks like he still has his PJ top on!

Now, I don't think a candidate should have to always wear a suit & tue, but this guy spends a lot of $$ on his clothes, and as far as I know, they're custom made. If he hired a new taylor, he really needs to fire them...or maybe not. Maybe some voters will see him for the little slob he is.

1. He's been wearing blue shirts
as a subtle appeal to the blue collar workers (laborers)

2. Whatever we may think of the tablecloth shirts,
believe me, it's been focus grouped to death. Somehow those awful shirts appeal to his base. Nothing is left to chance.

9. If this is his "regular guy mode" I'm more ashamed than I was before.
I saw him at some rally the day after the 3rd debate. He had that really stupid pale blue with some box plaid design shirt on. It was wrinkled, and really did look like he just got out of bed!

I've tried to find a pic, because I've seen some posted here on DU, but I must be asking for the wrong thing and can't locate one.

I suppose his attire might seem just fine to some rural farmers, but I am offended that the leader of my country appears in public like that! He's NOT some rural farmer, and shouldn't try to pretend to be one.

11. That's exactly what he's trying to do
He seems more "likable" that way. Seems more like the guy someone could invite over for dinner and he wouldn't seem out of place.
He'd fit right in with the good 'ol boys who pulled their shirt out of the dirty laundry. They could sit around and have beers and talk to each other very easily. Everyone can understand what he says, and he makes joks and laughs a lot.
UGH!!!! I know, I hate it too, but unfortunately it works on some people.

10. Not 100% suit and tie, but I do expect professional attire at all times.
If you're running for office, you're on a job interview. Dress like it. Duh.

This isn't High school and it's not a popularity contest. It's serious business.

19. they are definitely pods--the only official WH explanation for
"the Bulge" is Ken Mehlman's claim--twice--that Bush is an alien and receives messages from Mars. Seriously. And I believe him!
