The day the FBI took Elian, one network was inside the house after they took him.

(Janet Reno as Atty Genl) did what she had to do under the law. She removed a child who was being held in violation of the law. She as the top law enforcement officer had to remove the child where those who held the child refused to obey court orders.

As an atty who has represented children in similar situations, Reno was w/i the law and acted diligently and with due regard for all those involved.

The press twisted this at the time to wring all it could out of it as the profit-seeking entities that they were (and remain).
