Election Night 2008 - Another fight to the death or Kerry in a landslide?
Will President Kerry be able to act as a balm to America's soul? Will the majority of the people be behind him? Or is America destined to be a deeply divided nation?

3. First things first.
Let's win in 2004 before we start speculating about 2008.

The prospects of another 4 years under the shrub are so scary, I can't bear to think about anything but Kerry winning in 2004.

7. This isn't really a campaign discussion
I firmly believe that Kerry will win. The alternative is too terrible to contemplate. I also think that he will be a good president. Will he be a great one? Is the rift in America too deep to heal?

In the future will he be a president who is seen through a nostalgic lense. For example, people will debate how effective Kennedy was as a president. But he inspired the nation. I wasn't even alive when he was in office, but I'm inspired by the tenor he brought to political discourse. Will Kerry be that kind of president?

5. I know a bunch of Republicans that are gearing up to jump the fence...

...and vote these lunatics out of office; just from my personal sampling, I think Kerry's going to slaughter Bush.

6. Solid margin...not landslide

(Whoops... sorry didn't see you were asking about 2008. The following is my take on the current election at this point)

Kerry over 300 EV with Bush around 220 (give or take) and probably clear enough that the lawsuits, recounts, and challenges will just be the normal sour grapes.
Popular vote about +2.5 for Kerry
Won't come down to just Florida this year IMO

America stays divided between metro and retro.
