So, Kerry wins AND we have a majority in the Senate...........
How does our side try to be uniters and show the folks that the President is the President of ALL the people?

Do we throw the Republicans a bone and appoint a GOPer to, say, Secretary of Commerce or HUD?

Does Kerry sit back and watch the Republicans' infighting and surreptiously aid the less offensive Republicans?

Or, do we play the 'puke game and say fuck all you that aren't with us?

1. Well...
...we start off by taking away their guns and Bibles, and forcing their kids to be gay. Isn't that what they've been saying we'd do?

11. I'm just warning about a perception of cockiness
that the media may pick up on. It would totally suck if all next week all the media would talk about is how confident Kerry is that he's planning what he's going to do already. Thereby terrifying the puke base and driving them to the polls in swamps of zombies.

*shudder*

I like the pukes confused and troubled like they are now. They can do with a dose of what we've been putting up with for 4 years now.

3. Give 'em one or two meaningless roles
and no more. Maybe the ambassador to, say, Iran or Syria.

5. No
We do everything we can to drive the Republicans back into the political wilderness.

These guys have shown they can't be trusted with authority, money, defense, the Constitution, etc.

Let them put some of their energy into moderate members and prove themselves as true Americans once again. Then we'll talk.

7. I like option #3.
We could reach across the aisle, so to speak, and appoint Zell Miller the WH men's room attendant.

10. Keep Karl Rove...
Put him to work on the Dems side. Hell, he's shown he has absolutely no sense of morality so why wouldn't he switch sides for a term or two?

13. Indictments
One reason all this has happened, I think, is that Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon rather than making him stand trial.

That led to the presumption that the Rethugs can commit the most egregious crimes with impunity-- an impression that was reinforced when Ollie North's conviction was overturned on a technicality, and again when Bush41 pardoned everyone in sight on his way out the door. (And to think the Rethugs reviled Clinton for pardoning random strangers...)

The grownups who are alleged to exist in the Republican Party won't have the chance to reform it until the various criminals that hold the reins of power now are all stamping licence plates.

14. I agree completely.
No mercy!

They say they want bi-partisanship only when they're out of power. They need to see fierce partisanship from the left to teach them a long, hard lesson.

And some license-plate stamping just might do the trick.
