The new machines here in Las Vegas - touch screen w/a verified paper trail - were great!

The paper receipt printed out under glass right next to the screen - so you could check it before finally casting your vote. If you didn't like what you saw on the receipt - supposedly you could change it.

It looked like an endless ATM or gas pump receipt - one for each voting station.

As far as I know, we are the only state with these - and the repuke state election officials were real nasty - sending real nasty emails and faxes to our state Republican election official and attorney general really cussing him out for agreeing to this system awhile back!

I purposefully refer to the other aholes as repukes because that's what they are - our Republican State attorney general and election official are good honerable persons from what I've heard.

I've been waiting for this for 4 fucking awful years!

Hopefully, the nightmare is almost over!

2. Awesome!
I voted on the first day of early voting, my wife voted today, my daughter did Kids Voting, and every vote was for Kerry (even my daughter's symbolic vote). I hope this means good news for Kerry-Edwards.

And maybe it does. I talked to the head of the Coordinated Campaign here on Saturday. He said the turnout by Friday evening was 52% Democrat.
In this area voters breakout approx 40% Dem., 32% Repub, 28% Unaffiliated. This is extremely good news for North Carolina if it even comes close to holding up through Nov. 2nd!!

3. I went in to vote early today, and there was a very long line at
the library. I left, but will continue to go back. This is good news. Voter turnout is at record levels. And this is in Texas. I am hopeful of a November surprise for Bush in Texas!

4. But my partner beat me to it - he voted yesterday!
He's as pissed at the last 4 years as I am - but refrains from posting here - not good for his mental health.

For me, it helps to relieve the stress from this idiots who get worse every waking moment than the moment before!
