I confess, I wasn't a Red Sox fan until last night, although since I generally root for the underdog, I didn't want the Yankees to win. I'm not a big fan of baseball anyway.

But really, the New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers in the World Series. And John Edwards was Kerry's last serious challenge in the primary.

I myself am not superstitious, but can't account for why I am cheering so hard for the team from Boston...
