What do you make of this quote?
"Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

--Hermann Goering, Nuremberg Trials

2. Joesph Goebbels had a similar one
that would be hitler's minister of propoganda. quote went something like this:
"when you want a war, the opinion of the people does not matter, you just tell the people that they are at great risk, and call the people who protest unpatriotic. you will have your war it is always the same."

4. This could have been said by anyone in this administration
& it's always really bothered me how this regime hid behind its troops to conduct this business. Any dissent was met with "You aren't supporting the troops!" The same troops whose equipment wasn't adequate to protect them despite the millions of dollars congress allocated for this war. The same troops whose coffins were sent home under censorship.
