Do you think Bill Clinton is gloating over O'Reilly's sex scandal?
Okay, heres bill taking it easy after heart surgery & then the Bill O'Reilly scandal breaks. O'Reilly has flat out LIED about Clinton. Not mis-spoke, but LIED! O'Reilly has had women on his show who CLAIM Clinton raped them, made offensive sexist remarks, etc.& O'Reilly has taken their word for it asking for NO PROOF AT ALL!!!! He passes it off as common knowledge.

NOW, O'Reilly has an accuser & he asks his audience NOT TO RUSH TO JUDGEMENT SINCE THERE IS NO PROOF. I;m not sure, but I bet this is making The Big Dog's recovery a little more enjoyable.

I hope he sues Sean Hannity for calling him a rapist, too.

2. Bill is too decent
It exasperated me, reading his book, how forgiving he was of all the people who tried to destroy him (except he's still pretty mad at Ken Starr, and rightly so). I hope he's allowing himself a little schadenfreude over it. I know I'm enjoying the HELL out of this!

3. Unlike the republicans who were demanding to see Clinton's penis,
President Clinton could care less about seeing O'Reilly's vibrator..

4. I think
Bill is probably above that. Since he knows what it is like I would hope he would be better than finding joy in other people misfortunes.

5. I think Clinton's reaction is:
"Bill Who?"

The Big Dawg brushes off the fleas. If they then hop into a fire, who cares? They're too petty to gloat over.

9. on the outside he is forgiving...but inside he's........
giggling like a schoolgirl with a crush.....the way i see it, and having been raised in the same geographical area(give or take 150 miles...it's all "in the sticks" in arkansas or NE texas)...you forgive in your heart and keep the laughter inside...put on a nice big smile, one that reads "busted motherf*cker" when you shake his hand...that area still goes by the old "if you don't have anything nice to say...."creed. bill is laughing inside...i don't blame him...

13. I, too, doubt if BC is taking any pleasure
from O'Lielly's situation. Perhaps a momentary feeling of empathy, but other than that, I would suspect that President Clinton just doesn't have time to gloat about the evil-doings of the Repuke party. To most of us, however, there is probably a little more satisfaction, because we all went through those horrible years with Clinton as the repukes tried to do everything they could to get rid of him. Tit for tat is a momentary good feeling, because it manages to put us on the offensive in a lot of arguments from now on.

Actually, not that long ago, a conservative tried to bring up the Clinton scandal on a board I'm at, and I quickly countered with at least ten strong examples of repuke misbehavior that paralleled what they were trying to do against Clinton. The conservatives were silenced, and didn't bring it up again.

And it's not really the pot calling the kettle black--it instead simply shows that the opposition is as nasty as they pretend only our side is. They are shown to be bigger hypocrites, because they supposedly endorse "family values" and other such pablum, and then end up being as caught up in their web of lies as they can get.

14. No, I don't.
Clinton doesn't appear to be the gloating type. He probably (privately) appreciates the irony though.

16. Clinton is a decent guy, but he's also VERY human.
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 10:08 AM by aden_nak
I don't think he would have ever "gone after" O'Reilly for something like this, but I am sure, at least once since the story broke, he's looked at the television and thought to himself, "Irony's a real bitch, isn't it Bill?"

Which was probably right before he thought to himself, "Falafel? And I got shit for a cigar?"

17. We can help Bill Clinton get a few chuckles if we...
...put together a highlights reel of footage showing Bill O'Reilly slamming Clinton for his actions, juxtaposed with O'Reilly backpedaling on his own indiscretions.

Just think, a year from now O'Reilly will be in prison and his cellmates will be many people from this administration. I hope they enjoy Gitmo!

20. Somewhere a female
news anchor who was fired after taking part in a wet T-shirt contest at a bar while on vacation with her husband in Florida is laughing. Don't have her name...but the newspaper last week printed O'Reilly's harsh condemnation of her and why her dismissal was appropriate. His point was that her private life is a reflection of her occupation and she needed to act appropriately as a public figure.
Do you have to score above 90 on the hypocrisy scale before you're allowed in the conservative club?

22. what I like about Bill Clinton is
he knows he's got issues and I don't remember him ridicuing and pontificating about folks' sex lives. O'Reilly gets everything he deserves. I feel nothing for someone who is that crassly judgemental. He can't carry Ludicris's jockstrap now.
