Was God sending mixed messages on Iraq?

Apparently he lied to george bush. Pat Robertson says, "The Lord told me <the war in Iraq> was going to be A, a disaster, and B, messy," Robertson said. "I warned him about casualties."

So, as we have found out in Iraq, God told Robertson the truth. But bush says that he was doing God's will by invading Iraq.

As he told his quasi-memoirist, Bob Woodward, in ''Plan of Attack'': ''Going into this period, I was praying for strength to do the Lord's will. . . . I'm surely not going to justify the war based upon God. Understand that. Nevertheless, in my case, I pray to be as good a messenger of his will as possible.''

Someone is lying here. Is it God or bush? Perhaps the voice inside bush's head is not God afterall. If so, whose it it? Satan? Dick Cheney? His neighbor's dog? John Cusack?
