Flu flap!! Chiron is NOT a foreign company. Bush lies again and his
his administration flunkies and the media once again support his lies.
Bush uses the Chiron flu flap to say drugs from foreign companies may not be safe, yet Chiron is a US company that has sattelites around the world (England) for tax purposes, no doubt. They out-sourced the manufacture of the 2004 flu vaccine to one of its foreign branches. Now you have to ask why. Was it to avoid strict medical testing in the US, was it for tax breaks, was it for a position to make claims that mal-practice suits are the cause of no vaccines? You can be sure it has something to do with the bottom line or there is no good reason for this vaccine being manufactured outside the US. Proving once again, that capitalists, are the "crybabies" of all socioeconmic systems. They want no business risk, no business responsibility, no business costs, and to be held accountable for NOTHING! Meanwhile, how many people in the "red states" are being told that Chiron is US company and that the vaccine that we will be getting will be coming from those "old" Europeans, the French?

Find out more about Chiron.

1. The only safe vaccine we have already is French.
Manufactured by Aventis Pasteur. And they'll probably be the source of whatever else we get this year.

Chiron's product was cheaper--that's why so many public health entities ordered it. They never have extra money. Now they're caught short.

4. Problems pointed out by the English.
Not only is Chiron a U.S. company with operations in England, but the problems with these vaccines were caught not by U.S. regulatory agencies but by English ones (if I remember correctly). So it was, in fact, the terrible furriner drug regulatory agencies from which Bush is protecting us by blocking drug importation from Canada (if one is to believe Bush's stated version of this) that noticed the problems with this vaccine in the first place.

So if the Bushies are choosing to use Chiron as an example of the threat to public health from importation of drugs from furriners, they couldn't have chosen a worse example.

5. This another thing to bombard the networks with and cable shows.
Most of the public doesn't know about this. They are believing the televised sound bites the media is airing of Bush.

6. which is why we should ask subsidy for AAR fm DNC, AFLCIO, +add to ur Will
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 02:54 PM by oscar111
Only AAR is able to get our info out to voters by the millions.

We lose many issues in which we hold all the logic, because we have no voice... till AAR grows.\

AAR is air america radio

And, put AAR into your last Will ant testament.

Hate radio,... jst one chain of it, has 1200 stations. 24 per state! plus numerous independent local hate stations. We should be in every state.

7. So, how come those commies in Canada have the vaccine?
How come we're whining to that group of folks with the socialized medicine for vaccines? How come those damned socialists aren't having problems with triiiaaal lawyers?

It was so pathetic on CNBC. The minute they heard there was a shortage they started wondering if they could take it from the Canadians.

No actual Canadians were harmed in the production of this post. No actual offense - at least not to Canadians - was meant.
