Said that my husband and sons are distant cousins of Bush's through a dozen different colonial ancestors and that we've been mildly embarrassed by it, but that seeing their site made me feel good again because they're distant cousins to be proud of.

It's not only the website -- just looking at their photos, they look like good, honest people who you'd enjoy being with.

Those cousins share a great-grandfather, Samuel Prescott Bush, with Shrub. SP Bush had three children, Prescott, Mary, and Margie. Shrub is Prescott's grandson; the cousins on the page are Mary's grandchildren. That makes them second cousins.
