Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 05:18 PM by ladybugg33
either the President is lying or Pat is lying. Which is it? Either way, this is a delicious event. Was Pat lying when he said that Bush said there would be no casualties in Iraq? Did Pat lie on God or lie on Bush? OR, is Bush lying when he says that he didn't make that statement? Is this Bush trying to pull away from the RW funddies?
Don't let the media ignore this. This is HUGE!!! We could take them both down with little doozie.

6. Karen Hughes
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 05:25 PM by shylock1579
White House and campaign advisers denied Bush made the comment, with adviser Karen Hughes saying, "I don't believe that happened. He must have misunderstood or misheard it."

8. Har! These criminals are so freaking predictable!
:toast:

Any time somebody in the administration says something wrong, stupid, or just plain against the law, they say the other person "misheard" them.

What a pathetic bunch of liars!

4. story on Yahoo front page now
rated 4+ with a little over 400 votes...rate it to keep # up...story uses "any casualties" not "many" (I read elsewhere on the site that some are questioning exact phrasing).

5. In 1987, this would be huge
I was frankly surprised to discover that Robertson still has that kind of access. That's the real story here. Robertson is pretty much considered a kook in even Republican circles these days. I thought he was put on an ice flow in the mid-90s.

13. The fact that our president talked about the WAR in FEB 03 to Pat
should be the issue.. So now we know that he showed the war plans to prince Bandar BEFORE he talked to the SECRETARY OF STATE about the war plans, and that he blabbed it to Pat Robertson (buddy buddy to Charles Taylor), and yet right up until the "war", he swore up and down that "It was not definite"...Saddam still had time to back down..blahblahblah.."..

Our president has a problem with security.. War plans are not something to be bandied about with foreign agents (Bandar) OR religious wackos (Pat)...

WHO ELSE did he "consult" with ????

23. That is the real issue...
I think Robertson is insane so I take anything he says with a grain of salt. And Republicans don't like him anymore.

So why is Bush talking to him?

24. BINGO!!! You made this a "four-fer" You are so right. This is serious
Someone who is a great writer (say WillPitt) should compose a devastating letter that can be copied and sent to LTTE all over the country within the week. This story is really HUGE when you think about all the ramifications.

9. Pattern?
Bush says something.

Someone says: Hey! Bush said ___________ .

Bush says: I didn't say that.

Not concerned about OBL
Not any casualties
Link between OBL and Iraq (Ok, that was Cheney, but whatever...)

Why isn't this trend getting brought up more?
A democrat would have been crucified, I mean CRUCIFIED, by the press if this had been the case.

But what have we heard about "Not concerned about OBL?"
...crickets....crickets....crickets...
What will we probably hear from the mainstream media on "Not any casualties?"
...crickets....crickets...crickets...

Sheesh. Sorry. I'm just frustrated is all.

then reported the WH denial. Nothing about any later comment from Robertson.

19. It doesn't appear the Republican Party is monolithic after all
We have heard the moderate republicans, the fiscal conservatives, now the 'Christian' coalition rumbling about Bu$h.

It is coming apart folks. They sense defeat and they are scrambling for position.

Think of it as 'continental drift'. Will the GOP survive? Are we looking at a mass exodus to the Democrat side of the aisle? Another 2 or more parties?

About all thats left for Bu$h is the idiot freepers. Will Bu$h get more than 30% on the popular vote? I don't know. He has made a lot of enemies. Uniter my ass.

Bwaaaaahahaha.
