1. Why not?
I'm an Astros fan but it wouldn't offend me. In fact, it would be pretty silly for him to act like he's neutral.

Go Sox (till the WS begins! ;))

3. No. There's no need to annoy any leaning voters. (n/t)

12. I agree...NO NO NO
This is no time to offend NY and NJ...wouldn't repugs make a big deal out of that!

5. A jacket
Seems he looks funny in caps, if I recall. But a jacket, you bet. He's a Sox fan and he should be proud of it. Remind people that we're not supposed to let trivial differences divide us.

6. A lame attempt at pandering -- fairly negative.

looks bad. focus on key issues of the election. No time to be dicking around.

If a reporter asks him about it, he can say something nice. Otherwise, it's pretty lame.

7. No, because
people are ridiculously loyal to 'their' teams, no need to tempt someone to turn against Kerry because of a stupid game.

10. NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Please no (especially if they play the Cardinals - who also have a national following, as do the Red Sox).
Kerry is the serious candidate. Let * make the silly baseball analogies to the race.

13. He'd lose my husband's vote if he did...a vote he HAS, right now...
My VERY, DEEPLY SOUTHERN husband is a die-hard YANKEES fan! (Go figure! )

Some guys (especially guys) are EXTREME about baseball, and "their" teams.

Right now, since the Red Sox beat the Yankees so badly tonite, my husband would prolly lock ME out of the house if I told him how much I <really> like the Red Sox!!!

My totally NON-political husband is voting for Kerry right now. But if he went into the voting booth in "private" (without my knowledge!), he'd pull the lever for bush, if Kerry had come out in favor of the sox prior to election day.

It is some sort of primal "guy thing", I think. Some men become a little bit "hysterical" over sports. It's not necessarily rational, at all. You don't have to really UNDERSTAND "it"....you only have to understand that IT'S THE WAY IT IS!

I don't mean to be sexist, or anything....it's just my subjective experience.

Tell Kerry to stay out of the fray!! Just let people "assume" for now that he likes (and is proud of) the Sox!!

Kerry should focus on Iraq, the deficit, the unemployment, and terrorists that haven't been caught. Let bush be the one to stick his foot in his mouth for some team.

:kick::kick:

15. he has already
said that he is rooting for the SOX (lots of people are rooting for them cause they are such underdogs) so I think it would be OK--everyone already knows he supports them.

He would look great wearing a SOX windbreaker tomorrow when he goes goose/duck hunting.
