2. Ralph is a true American hero and would be the best president....
but when facism rears its ugly head in the US we gotta go with someone who has a real chance to win instead of trying to grow a new party.

12. That is your opinion.

"would be the best president"

Personally, I have no idea what he's ever done other than capitalize on a car with a poor safety record. And his taking credit for exposing the problem is disputable. He's done nothing in public service to show that he can run a government. Being a lifelong critic and a quadrennial Presidential candidate hardly makes him "the best" candidate.

Yes, he'd be better than George, but he cannot win and he'd have no organization to shape and execute on an agenda anyway.

"True American Hero"? hahahahaha....good one.

3. I was in a safe state then, so no regrets--
--however, this year is a whole new ball of wax.

4. Voted Nader in 2000,
Am somewhat ambivalent about it. Regret it knowing what I know now, but understand why I did it at the time.

Voting Kerry and straight Democratic ticket this time.

18. bullshit
Nader is partially responsible just as he will be this year if he continues to campaign in swing states.

Gore would have been a much better President than Bush or Nader. Nader lied about Gore and convinced a lot of gullible people that fighting the two party system was some new and revolutionary idea.

7. I'm sorry that you voted for Nader.
I'm sure there are at least 30,000 dead iraqi's sorry that you voted for Nader as well. How nice it is to live in the belly of the beast where we don't have to take responsibility for any of our actions.

10. ok, let's go there.
How many Iraqis died during Clinton's term while he bombed that nation regularly?

Do you have any recognition that my vote in 2000 (and 1996) was in protest of the kind of "bipartisan" bullshit we get daily now?

Sorry, but I don't accept your attempt to put Iraqi blood on my hands. I know a few Dems in Congress you could talk to, though.

If Nader gets more than 1% of the vote nationaly this time, I'd really be surprised, shocked is more like it.

Even with all the republican money & effort to distort the election by "supporting" Nader.

11. I did vote Nader in New York
so I knew Gore would win anyway. But I also went to his rally in Madison Square Garden and I wonder if he thought he would get the same response this year.

13. Never voted Nader...
...because it wasn't strategically advantageous (not that it mattered, I guess), but I've got no love for the DLC and what they've done to the Democratic party I want to belong to. When Kerry gets into office, he better make some radical changes or this uneasy alliance is going fall apart like a stool full of Olestra.

15. Yep, that was me in 2000
Being from California, it wasn't a big deal. Many of the other liberals I know did the same. But Nader's whored himself out to the Republicans this time around, and it makes me wonder if he did it last time, too. I've lost all respect for him, which is a shame - he did some good things way back when.

As a matter of fact, this will be my first time in a general election voting for one of the major parties. Probably won't be the last, either - this is the system we've got, so it's what we have to work with to change. Pie in the sky won't fly no more.

17. Not only voted for him, but
Participated in one of those big rally get-togethers he had. Lots of us did. Orgs from the very liberal press to folks pushing for pot legalization, animal rights, pushing to end the death penalty...

This time around, voting straight dem ticket, voting early, and volunteering the days before and the day of the election. I'm dragging 4 "I'm not gonna vote"s to the polls, personally. AND I'm proud to be a DUer...
