Regarding Bush thinking US would face no casualties in Iraq |
|
Prior to the Iraq invasion, did Bush make any public comments to indicate that he was aware that an Iraq occupation would be dangerous?

my friend in California told me of being at a party where she met a young Marine set to deploy to Iraq. She's a Dem and peacenik who asked him if he was afraid that he would die there. He insisted that he had been told "this will be a no-casualty conflict". The military was selling them hard on this point from the very beginning.
