What's up with the McGuire commercial on AAR?
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 01:16 PM by apnu
It makes fun of "astronomers" well I think they mean "astrologer" and they look like fools to the people who know the difference between charting someone's birth sign (Astrology) and someone who's actually researching our Universe (Astronomy)

I'm embarrassed when mistakes like this are made.

(on edit: oops spelling)

2. Yep, that one makes me cringe every time I hear it.
I guess the people who made the ad were hoping that their target audience wouldn't be able to tell astronomy from astrology...but most thinking people can. I hate when Democrats use such wrong-headed, cheap theatrics. Just because the opposition does it, do we have to?

3. No we don't have to...
...yet there are still some Democrats who are campaigning to the polls and not the people. I thought we'd exercised that curse in 2002.

4. God, I hope things change after Nov. 2...
or more specifically, we have to change things after Nov. 2.

5. It's a local ad for police commissioner - NJ? That splains it for me.

6. I get that... but still its a problem
And, does NJ still want to be the joke of New England and the Eastern sea-board? And electing a Sheriff that doesn't know the difference between Jupiter and Gemini isn't helpful.

Besides, I'm in Chicago listening to it and I'm cringing over it here.
