My mom called me at work today and I finally asked her who she was voting for and quickly followed up with "Please don't vote for Bush." She laughed but after speaking to her for about 10-15 minutes I had her convinced that Kerry was the right choice and Bush the wrong one. While we were talking, I sensed her hesitation and mistrust of both candidates and was able to assuage some of her misgivings for Kerry while heightening her loathing for Bush. I now have my sights set on my stepfather.

Here's a positive for Kerry :
Why would someone believe what the opposition says about Kerry? Don't they have an interest in making you hate him?
For example : "Flip Flop" ....... There are those who do not regard the truth as a zero sum game. They do not say "I'm 100% right and you are 0." Kerry is such a man. He integrates the truth from various perspectives. This does not mean he will be soft on terrorism. It means he will not provoke it by disrespecting their very real domestic problems in their own countries.
