Did any of our Congresscritters refuse the Flu Shot on Principle?
We all know that most of them act like they are the Princes and Dukes of the kingdom, give themselves incredible perks, medical insurance, lavish retirements, generous office expenses and otherwise live on the taxpayers like they owned us.

I was wondering if ANY of them thought that it would simply be completely INAPPROPRIATE for them to suck up a lifesaving injection before the taxpayers were able to get their's, particularly since this bufoonery of not planning for ample supplies rests solely with the governmental agencies whom they control.

This pisses me off beyond belief. It is reminiscent of the wealthy on the Titanic taking precedence in getting on the limited number of lifeboats. Except in this case, all the fuckers who drove this country into the metaphorical iceberg (congresscritters) are jumping ship and leaving us exposed to a disease that kills 20,000 americans a year.

1. Am I the only person that purposefully doesn't get a flu shot?
I mean, I'm not elderly, and I have a decent immune system. . . but every time I get a flu shot, I feel like crap for a week, and about a week after that. . . I get the flu.

2. A lot of people are at risk of death if they contract flu
It's not a matter of inconvenience or feeling like crap for a week for people who are elderly or have poor immune systems or the very young.

It's a very serious illness for millions of people.

I normally don't get it because I'm not high risk. I've gotten the flu a couple of times and felt like hell, but it didn't kill me. For a lot of people, its the choice between life and the risk of death.

4. Well, I meant out of normal, healthy people.
The elderly and those with compromised immune systems obviously need to be taking all the precautions possible. But I know many perfectly healthy, young, capable people who are completely freaked out about not getting their flu shot.
